Luke’s best upgrade is Upgrade Neutral Cards (3) because all his created Bullet cards are neutral, so it directly boosts the damage of Magnum Shot, Silver Shot, Uranium Shot, and Tracer. The 3-1 upgrade adds the Bullet tag to Single Shot, helping trigger his combos. The 7th upgrade gives big damage if you can keep his Crit Chance high.

The most impactful Manifest Ego stages are E2, E4, and E6. E2 gives you more free Bullets after using three, E4 builds up damage every time you fire a Bullet, and E6 makes those bonuses even stronger.

How to Play Luke in Chaos Zero Nightmare

Luke’s gameplay is all about using Rapid Fire to land guaranteed crits and create 0-cost Bullet cards, then spending those Bullets to make Dance of the Demon hit many times. To make this work, he needs at least 50% Crit Chance, because Rapid Fire adds another +50%, guaranteeing crits on every hit. If you don’t reach that 50% Crit Chance, Rapid Fire won’t make Bullets consistently and Luke’s whole setup will struggle to function.

Luke works especially well with partners who help him generate resources or amplify his many hits. Rei boosts Luke’s damage because her buffs apply to his basic attacks and his many 1-cost cards. Meanwhile, Lucas helps with AoE damage when Luke faces multiple enemies. His R.P.G-7 also works perfectly with Luke’s kit because it deals extra follow-up damage every time a Bullet is exhausted.

Luke needs some setup before he feels strong. Without enough Crit Chance, Rapid Fire won’t make Bullets consistently, and without key cards or good Epiphanies, his damage stays average. But with solid Crit stats, the right card copies, and good teammates, he becomes one of the strongest single-target damage dealers in the game.
