CZN Reroll Guide: Best Characters to Reroll

In a gacha game like Chaos Zero Nightmare, rerolling is one important mechanic to kickstart your journey more effectively. Rerolling means resetting your account after getting undesirable free starting pulls. It does take a bit of your time, but it’s worth it. Here’s everything you need to know about rerolling in CZN, including the best characters to aim for.

Should You Reroll in CZN?

You don't absolutely need to reroll in CZN. Every character can work well once you invest time in them. But if you're aiming for a specific character you really like or want multiple 5-star units right from the start, then yeah, rerolling makes sense.

Most non-collaboration characters eventually join the permanent pool, so you won't miss out forever if you skip rerolling. It's really up to what you want from your game experience.

Here are the best characters to reroll in Chaos Zero Nightmare:

Mei Lin is hands down one of the best reroll targets. She scales infinitely with her Rising Dragon Spire ability and can attack multiple times in one turn. The best part? She doesn't need other characters to work well. She draws her own cards and sets up quickly. The downside is that she's tricky to get the perfect save file for.

Veronica is your other top pick. She's basically the best card draw engine in the game, pulling 2 cards for zero AP when built right. She makes any team better just by being there. Plus, her deck is great for chaos runs because of all those unique tag cards.

How to Reroll: Step-by-Step Guide

Quick Reroll Method (15-25 Minutes)

Step 1: Download the game and log in with your account. Don't worry about using guest accounts since you can delete your data in-game later.

Step 2: Watch the opening cutscene and start the prologue. Hold down the fast forward button at the top right to speed through dialogue. Complete the first battle tutorial.

Step 3: Move to the next prologue stage for another battle tutorial. Keep using that fast forward button to get through the dialogue faster.

Step 4: After the prologue ends, you'll do a story stage and get a quick gacha tutorial that gives you Tressa, a guaranteed 4-star character.

Step 5: Complete the Chaos Manifestation tutorial next. This part is annoying because you can't skip, fast forward, or autoplay it. Just push through until it's done.

Step 6: Once you're free, head to the main menu. Tap the three horizontal lines at the top right, click the mail icon, and claim all your rewards.

Step 7: Go back to the main menu and select Rescue. Choose the Special Request Rescue banner and use all your Rescue Anchors.

Step 8: Finish the first three battle missions, grab those rewards, then spend all your crystals on the current Amplified Distress Signal banner.

Step 9: Not happy with your pulls? No problem. Tap the three horizontal lines again, select the gear icon at the bottom right, then click the person icon on the middle left. Hit Reset Server to delete your data without making a new account.

Step 10: Repeat the process as many times as you need until you get the character you want.

Captain Level 10 Method (40-60 Minutes)

This method takes longer but gives you more pulls overall.

Step 1: After finishing the tutorial, work toward reaching Captain Level 10. This unlocks the Events page, where the good stuff is.

Step 2: Complete all tasks on the first page of the Growth Guide and claim every reward.

Step 3: Once you hit Captain Level 10, you'll have enough resources for another 10-pull on the limited banner and can finish the Special Request Rescue banner that guarantees a 5-star character.

How Long Does Rerolling Take?

The quick method takes about 15-25 minutes per attempt. You can't skip the tutorials, especially the Chaos Manifestation part, but you'll get enough pulls to try your luck on both banners.

If you go for the Captain Level 10 method, expect 40-60 minutes. This route gives you 20 pulls on the limited banner and completes the Special Request Rescue banner, plus some extra currency.

Rerolling in CZN isn't mandatory, but it gives you a head start with top-tier characters. Focus on Mei Lin or Veronica if you want the absolute best, but any S-tier character will serve you well. Take your time, pick someone you'll enjoy playing, and jump into the game! Also check out our CZN Tier List to see the complete rank for all combatants.
